Liz is a friendly and experienced Psychologist, and as a Christian leader in her own church, is able to assist you from a Christian worldview, when requested.
Christian
Psychologists who practice Christian counselling, and who are also Christian can be difficult to find. If requested, Liz is able to provide a Christian approach. Liz is actively involved in coaching and equipping in life skills as well as participating in the leadership within her own fellowship on an on-going basis.
Career
Liz has assisted many individuals change careers, re-enter the workforce, set up their own business, balance the roles of worker and parent and choose courses of study. In addition to personal client consultations, Liz has experience in career transition and outplacement services, which has included exit interviews, career transition management and presenting job search and career management workshops.
Work Stress
Workplace stress affects everybody. It can affect our family life, our relationships outside of work, and our work-life balance. If you feel that work stress is getting too much, Liz may be able to help.
Common Life Issues
Liz treats a wide range of mental health concerns for adults of all ages. She has experience in the assessment and treatment of depression and anxiety disorders, as well as grief and loss, sleep, and life adjustment issues.
Your Appointment
What to expect
Liz respects the faith and beliefs of all clients and will listen carefully to your story and current situation. At your first appointment, Liz will ask some questions and may suggest completing a relevant questionnaire, so that together you can monitor progress. Liz is happy to work with your GP, psychiatrist, or other health professional to provide you with wholistic and supportive care.
Types of Sessions
Liz meets clients in her offices in Manly West, and also offers telehealth consultations (video and telephone). Where appropriate, telehealth can be a great option for parents caring for young children at home; for those who are impeded by physical health issues; or when coronavirus restrictions limit the ability to meet face to face.
Referrals
No referral necessary, unless claiming from Medicare, then you will need a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP. To learn more, click here.
